Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of myMatch, a matrimonial matching service operated by Fikrix LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Fikrix," "we," "us"). By creating a profile or otherwise using myMatch, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement.

Safety notice — please read

WE DO NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS ON OUR MEMBERS.

Anyone can create a profile. Exercise the same care meeting someone from myMatch that you would meeting anyone else you don't yet know well:

  • Meet for the first several times in a public place, and tell a friend or family member where you're going.
  • Never send money, gift cards, or financial information to someone you haven't met in person.
  • Take your time verifying who someone says they are before sharing sensitive personal information.
  • If you consider a background check important, that is your responsibility to arrange independently.
  • Report any member who behaves inappropriately — from your conversation, or by emailing us.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, located in the United States, and legally able to enter into a marriage to use myMatch. You may hold only one profile. The information you provide in your profile must be truthful — misrepresenting your age, marital status, or identity is a violation of these Terms.

How myMatch works

You build a profile and answer matching questions; other members see you by an anonymous Profile ID, with your photo blurred, until an advance agreement (below) is mutually signed. You may send and receive proposals, message a match privately, and end a conversation at any time, for any reason, with no penalty.

The advance agreement

Within a conversation, either member may propose to sign the "advance agreement." Once both members have signed, contact details (phone number, email, social handles) may be shared directly in the conversation, and each member's photo becomes visible unblurred to the other.

The advance agreement is a product feature that unlocks information sharing within myMatch. It is not a contract to marry, a betrothal, or any kind of promise or legal commitment between the two members, and Fikrix is not a party to it or to any relationship, engagement or marriage that may follow. Signing it does not obligate either member to continue the conversation, and either of you may end it at any time without penalty.

Once contact details and photos are exchanged, that trust is between the two of you. Misusing information shared this way — for example, distributing someone's photo or contact details without their consent — is a violation of these Terms, and the affected member is entitled to pursue it, including by legal action, independent of anything Fikrix does.

Your conduct

You agree not to:

  • Provide false information about your identity, age, or marital status.
  • Harass, threaten, impersonate, or deceive another member.
  • Share another member's photo, contact details, or private messages outside myMatch without their consent.
  • Use myMatch for commercial solicitation, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to seeking a marriage partner.
  • Upload content that is unlawful, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Attempt to circumvent the Profile ID system, blurred-photo protections, or blocking features.

Reporting, blocking and enforcement

You can block another member at any time, which ends further contact from them. We may suspend or terminate a profile that violates these Terms, and we may preserve — rather than delete — specific content that is the subject of an active report or legal obligation, exactly as described in our Privacy Policy. We cooperate with law enforcement where required by law, including reporting apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

Your content

You retain ownership of the photo, introductions, and messages you post. By posting them, you grant Fikrix a limited license to store, display, and transmit that content solely to operate myMatch — for example, showing your photo to a matched member, or delivering your messages to their recipient.

No fees today

myMatch is currently free to use, and we do not collect payment information. If we introduce paid features in the future, we'll present updated terms for you to accept before any charge applies.

Disclaimers

myMatch is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that you will find a match, that any match will result in a successful relationship or marriage, or that information another member provides about themselves is accurate — we do not verify member identity, background, or intentions beyond what is stated in this document. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members, on and off the platform, including any decision to meet in person.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fikrix LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of myMatch, or from your interactions with other members. Because myMatch is currently free, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to fifty US dollars ($50).

Termination

You may stop using myMatch and delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of myMatch will be brought in a state or federal court located in Texas, and you consent to that court's jurisdiction.

Changes to these Terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use myMatch after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
